More Sex with Feng Shui

This is an interesting feng shui topic to write about, I thought.

Sex is healing, beautiful and very powerful. Many ancient cultures knew the mysteries and secret healing powers of sexual energy, and we have yet to learn to respect, understand and be comfortable with the power of our sexuality.

Having said that, here are some feng shui tips to help you attract stronger sexual energy into your life - feng shui tips for sex - as well as to attract a sexual partner to practice with. If you fall in love, do not blame feng shui for it!

  • Create your own feng shui sex cure by clearly expressing your intent in a visual format. This can be an art piece, a photo, or a small sculpture. From a feng shui cure such as a photo of modern lovers to a small golden sculpture of Shiva & Shakti in sexual union - only you know what you emotionally respond to. Place your feng shui sex cure in the Northwest area of your home or your bedroom.

  • Create a private space that will be supportive of the exchange of sexual energy. Your bedroom should have good feng shui sexual Chi enhancers, such as warm colors, soft furnishings and a comfortable bed. Clean air with a sweet fragrance of essential oils such as ylang-ylang, sandalwood, neroli or jasmine will increase the sexual drive, as will candlelight and sensual music. Display explicit sexual art to set the desired feng shui for sex energy.

  • Create a good flow of sensual Chi in your bathroom. The feng shui energies of the bathroom and the bedroom are intricately connected in promoting a strong flow of sexual energy.

  • Check your whole space for the flow of sexual energy. The feng shui check-up here will be close to the one you will do when checking your space for the feng shui flow of love. The focus, though, will be on sexual activity versus a committed partnership.

  • Increase your personal energy and sexual charisma. Find out your feng shui birth element and your kua number and have your bed facing one of your best direction. Focus on living and working in places with good energy, on exercising, eating the right foods, etc.

  • Be clear with your partner about the intent to enjoy sexual pleasure without being romantically involved. This will set the right feng shui energy for your exploration. It will also attract the energy of pleasure versus hurtful emotions or misunderstandings.
Ultimately, sex is a powerful in yin-yang energy exchange, thus you need to be mindful of the quality of your own energy and the energy of people you want to attract. In the world of feng shui energy, like attracts like, so be what you want to attract.

Feng Shui Nursery Case Study: Feng Shui Tips for Calmer Nights with the Baby

Jane and Patrick welcomed baby Samantha on a bright April morning. Jane was a feng shui client of mine; both she and her husband have busy and successful careers, keep a big home and a myriad of other activities and commitments.

Four months after the baby's birth and still very little sleep at night, Jane asked me to check the feng shui energy of the home and see if there is anything that can be done with feng shui to calm the situation. The baby was a very light sleeper and was crying a lot, this started taking its toll on the health of both parents, as well as their relationship.

Here's what was happening in the house:
  • The baby's room looked very busy and was overloaded with various bright colored items, as well as electrical appliances. This created a very active, strong and even disturbing quality of feng shui energy.

  • The most dangerous part were the very high electromagnetic fields, way above the normal level, coming from a variety of sources: the baby heart monitor placed under the mattress, the baby video monitor, as well as the very strong radiation from the wall adjacent to the home office.

  • Baby's crib was placed in line with the door. Even though not too close to the door, it still had a disturbing and too strong of a rush of feng shui energy for a little baby to handle well.

  • The parents bed room was totally overtaken by baby-related items, as was practically every other open space in the house.
Here's what we did:
  • We addressed the very high level of electromagnetic fields by letting go of numerous baby-related electrical gadgets (most of them rarely used!) We also solved the very unfavorable vicinity of two spaces: home office and baby's room by relocating the baby's room further away from the office.

  • The parents' bedroom came back to its "original" look and feel of a bedroom of two adults who love to share intimate moments, as well as have a good night sleep! This included gathering all the baby-related items in a small area that was visually not competing with the main purpose of an adult bedroom: to sleep and make love.

  • We created similar areas in most parts of the house - family room, kitchen/dining, home office, main entry - where baby-related items where clearly and nicely organized together without overwhelming the space.
Here are the results:

Just a couple nights after the feng shui changes were implemented, Jane called to report all family members are sleeping well. Patrick feels much happier and enthusiastic about their future, and Jane changed her mind about never having another baby!

Japanese Glass Wind Chimes-Bring Peace and Serenity To Your Garden

Wind chimes have been in existence for over 5000 years. They are one of the world's oldest musical instruments and are known world-wide today to help sooth and calm people by their sweet and melodic sounds.

Japanese glass wind chimes, or simply glass wind chimes began appearing in about 1000 BC along the Mediterranean. Shortly thereafter, it was often seen in Far Eastern temples as a method to ward off evil demons and spirits. Today, Japanese glass wind chimes are used for garden and yard decoration as well as indoors near windows or where a breeze will "catch" it as well as on patios, decks and entryways of many homes.

Feng Shui uses Japanese glass wind chimes (as well as those made of other materials) to aid in organizing and directing the travel of energy through a space in order to provide the best possible flow of positive energy around you. But Feng Shui is only one use of wind chimes and there are many, many more.

In our far, far past, wind chimes were used as a type of scarecrow in gardens to alarm small pest animals like rabbits and raccoons. Many backyard gardeners still do this today and Japanese glass wind chimes are the perfect choice for this use. Not only are they often beautiful pieces of art, they DO help keep those pesky rabbits out of your baby lettuce leaves!

Of course we can't ignore the most time honored reason for Japanese glass wind chimes and that is the sense of peace and tranquility that they bring to us. After coming home from a long and hard day at work, there is nothing quite so soothing as sitting in the garden or on the deck and letting the melodies of a wind chime help to relax your mind, body and soul.

Japanese glass wind chimes can have a healing effect on both the mind and the body. The sounds of the wind chimes are thought to release stress and emotional blockage and calm the mind. Wind chimes can reduce anger and tension and promote a sense of well-being. It is also believed that wind chimes can bring a sense of harmony and balance to ones garden and home.

From warding off evil spirits to providing a calm and soothing background noise in a garden, the Japanese glass wind chime has been with us for a long time and will continue to bring a sense of peace and balance to us all.

Feng Shui Bedroom and Love Tips: Feng Shui Love Check Up of Your Bedroom

Are you looking to attract a love partner? Or, maybe you are in a love relationship that needs a bit of help? Feng Shui has a variety of love tips, or tips for using feng shui to find (and keep!) a joyful love relationship.

Here is a quick feng shui love check-up of your home to see if you are really open and ready for lasting love.
  • Is your bedroom comfortable for two people? Feng shui-wise, if your bed is squished in one corner of your bed room or is hiding behind the door with just one lonely nightstand, you might have a hard time finding a functional love relationship. Feng Shui Love Verdict: Not ready, hiding away from love.

  • Does your bed have balanced feng shui energy on both sides? In a love relationship the bed is used by both partners. For a love relationship to work long term, both partners have to feel equal, respected, and treated well. Feng Shui Love Tip: Treat both sides of the bed in a feng shui balanced way, in other words, treat them equally.

  • Is there any free space in your closets? A closet that has some breathing room and a free flow of feng shui energy is not only promoting better health and more opportunities, but also, on a practical level, allows your loved one to store his or her items. Plain common sense here!

  • Check if the all-important feng shui home trinity - bedroom, bathroom, kitchen - is treated well.

  • Can you clearly visualize your life with the man or the woman of your dreams? How would that look, feel, taste, smell? Bring that sense into your home with specific images, feng shui colors, use scents (preferably pure essential oils) that reflect the energy you want. Feng Shui Love Tip: Avoid sad, broken heart images if you want to attract a happy love relationship.
Apply love-specific feng shui cures, such as objects in two, rose quartz crystals, etc.
To maintain a harmonious, joyful love relationship, you need a bedroom that is comfortable and reflects the beauty of the love relationship you want to be in.

Can Feng Shui Really Help Me Find My Soulmate ?

Feng Shui can certainly help you find love, find your soulmate. The important thing to understand, though, is that a feng shui consultant is not walking into your space with a magic wand and a clear timeline for the expected results. As with everything, you are the one who has to make it happen - and feng shui is a very powerful tool to speed up the love search process and save you a lot of time and effort.

A big factor in how quickly you will see results lies in:
  • how clear you are with what you want
  • how ready you are to accept love in your life.
You also have to know yourself very well and know what works for you. Being honest with yourself and committed to your happiness is the first step to attract honest, committed people into your life.

Let me ask you are really ready for love? I mean, if the man or the woman of your dreams were to walk into your home today, what message will your home (and particularly your bedroom) be sending?

Last, but not least, if you are pragmatic about using feng shui for love, most likely feng shui will not work so well for you. If you are ready to give feng shui for love tips a try, do it with an open heart and total commitment.

The clients who achieved the most beautiful results truly believed in feng shui as an energy tool and applied the feng shui for love tips diligently and with a clear intent.

Feng Shui for Family Harmony

Having a family that is loving and supportive at all times is a blessing. To have a healthy, beautiful and happy environment in which to live with your family is to be blessed twice.

To bring more harmony into your family life, consider implementing some basic feng shui cures that are guaranteed to shift the energy in your home, balance and harmonize it.

  • For example, a fountain in the East area of your home will bring benevolent Chi to your family. Be mindful about keeping the water clean at all times.

  • Have many happy images of your family throughout the house, especially in the kitchen, living room and the East area of your House.

  • Be mindful about keeping your bedroom, as well as the bedroom of your children in the best possible condition.

  • Balance your environment according to the five elements, taking into consideration the element of each family member.
Lower the level of electromagnetic fields in your home, limit the use of harsh and dangerous chemicals. Opt for having a healthy home. A harmonious home is a place that can accommodate a variety of activities and a variety of people without losing its healing essence; and creating a place with such power takes time. The beauty, though, of this creation process is that the more love you put into it, the more love you receive back.

Do not delay and start loving your home now, no matter how it looks at the moment. It just needs your help to uncover its healing potential.

Feng Shui For Love

For love to blossom in your life, you must activate the southwest corner of your home, the universal corner of romance. In using Feng Shui for romance, the bed room needs to be romantic, with soft furnishings, colors and romantic pictures. The peony flower plays a very important part in Chinese Feng Shui and you should have some in your bedroom. Use yellow, white and red lights to brighten up the southwest corner of your house to attract romance energy. Place natural quartz crystals in the southwest corner. Create a balance between the yang chi of the masculine and the yin chi of the feminine. A toilet in the southwest corner can be very negative on your love life because it may 'flush' all your romance chi away.

Enhancing love feng shui increases love opportunities, but finding a perfect match depends on your karma. If there is exposed beams in the southwest corner, hang tiny windchimes to soften the killing chi of the edges. Water in the southeast tends to cause arguments. Jasper in the southwest corner activates romance luck. Hanging a painting of high mountains in the southwest corner creates powerful chi of the big Earth.

To kick start romance paint one wall in the southwest corner with the color of white, yellow or red. Crystal chandelier in the southwest corner will energize this corner of love. On a window in the southwest corner hang a faceted crystal ball to capture the sunlight and create chi rainbows. Place three candles in a bowl of crystals to activate the southwest corner. Place a crystal heart inside a velvet pouch and place inside a night table to enhance feelings of love between you and your partner.

To have steady growth in the marriage, color and objects must never be overly masculine or feminine. Balance the chi by painting the bedroom with dark restful 'yin' hues and the dining areas with bright 'yang' colors. In order to create smooth love chi between the partners, place red love knots on pictures of you together. Never give roses with thorns, remove the thorns first.

Yellow flowers are for those seeking a serious relationship, and white flowers are good for mature people in love.

A pair of mandarin ducks placed in the bedroom symbolizes the happiness of lovers. Never place water features on the right side of the main door as this can lead to infidelity.

Kept water features, water bowls and aquariums out of the bedroom as they can lead to loss. Never place plants with thorns in the southwest corner. If a mirror directly reflects the bed it can attract unwanted outside third parties. Never sleep with the feet facing the door as this can simulate the death position.

Make Your Kitchen a Prosperity Magnet

Did you know that kitchens are ancient symbols of prosperity ? They are the place where people prepare food that nourishes the family. When we eat well and maintain good health, we can more easily attract abundance.

Here are a few simple tips that can make your kitchen a 'prosperity magnet'. The central focus of your kitchen should be the stove, which in feng shui is associated with prosperity because it radiates life-affirming energy.Magnify the radiant effect of your stove's burners by placing a mirror behind the stove. If your stove isn't against the wall, place a steel kettle on the burner. It will achieve the same reflective effect. To enhance the power of your stove, use all of your burners regularly when cooking. We sometimes get in the habit of using the same two burners over and over again.

In addition, keep your countertops clean and neat and ready for the next meal. Ask yourself if you have adequate room to prepare meals. If you don't, put away or let go of appliances that you don't use at least a couple of times a week.

When cooking, make sure you're in 'the command position', which in feng shui means having a view of the door. If you don't have a view of the door from your stove, hang a mirror so it reflects the doorway. The command position confers power and it's the safest position to work in.

Because our kitchen are associated with health and well-being, put away knives and trash. The sharp edges of knives emit sharp arrows of energy that can actually push prosperity away. If the first thing we see upon entering a kitchen is an open trash receptical, then all our efforts to summon prosperity may go into the trash! Either use a bin that has a top or place your trash can behind closed doors.

Avoid standing under heavy pots or pans that are suspended on a rack over your head. Pots and pans in this position push energy downward and can affect your physical well-being depending on how long you stand under them. You can get headache or shoulder pain even lose your concentration.

Flowing water is also a symbol of prosperity, but if it's flowing down the drain, your prosperity may flow along with it! Fix dripping faucets as soon as possible.

Place symbols of health and prosperity in your kitchen. A colorful arrangement of fruits or flowers, artwork that represents health and well-being, photoes of you and your family feeling their best, or a personal symbol that lifts your spirits can all act as energetic focal points that attract positive energy. The end result is a kitchen that enhances your feeling of prosperity.

Crystal for Good Feng Shui

Did you know that crystal is one of the Feng Shui accessories ? Each crystal is unique and each crystal will have slightly different properties. Just like choosing flowers for your home, you can make the best choices when guided by your senses.

The word "crystal" comes from the Greek word krystallos meaning "frozen light". Even though they come from the depth of mother earth, they carry the vibration of light. Crystal have been used over the centuries for many purposes - from healing to protection to decoration. In Feng Shui, crystals are widely used for the specific energy, or the vibration they bring to your home. For example, the rose quartz crystal is used to attract love and romance, as well as heal the broken heart. It's because the rose quartz crystal emanates specific frequencies that promote heart healing.

To promote happy energy in a love relationship you can put two rose quartz hearts in the southwest feng shui area in your bed room or place a full bowl of rose quartz crystals in the bed room or bathroom as feng shui love cure.

When you first buy or receive a crystal as a gift, it's best to cleanse it. As crystal cleansing resets their vibration to receptive to the new home and the new owner. Crystals should be cleansed regularly, as well as treated in a respectful and loving manner.

When purchasing crystals for feng shui purposes, be sure to ask if the crystals have not been radiated or colored. Gift your home with some natural crystals, after all you and your family will be the ones to benefit to their healing energies.

A home adorned with feng shui crystals is a home that is benefiting powerful and natural earth energies.

Feng Shui Tips for Clutter Clearing

Living in a good feng shui house is to be surrounded by a healthy and vibrant quality of Chi, or energy. A good feng shui house will feel good, look good and attract all the good to you! Knowing that, wouldn't you want your house to have good feng shui? Of course, you would.

You also know that if your house is full of clutter - no matter hidden or in plain view - you have to take care of your clutter first.

Applying feng shui in a cluttered house does not make much sense, as clutter is draining your personal energy, as well as blocking the flow of Chi, or universal energy.

The feng shui effect of clutter on your health, your energy levels and the overall quality of your life is obvious -clutter drains your energy and dampens your very best intentions.

Even though we all agree about the feng shui effects of clutter, starting to clear your clutter is never easy. One look at the stuffed bedroom closets or the piled up bookcases in your home office is enough to make you urgently find something very important to do.

There is a way out, though, and feng shui, as an energy tool, can help you clear your clutter in the most efficient, easy and, yes, even enjoyable way! The way to make it work is to keep in mind two important feng shui guidelines:

Bring higher feng shui energy to support you in your clutter
clearing
efforts.
For example, having great music, fresh air, a sense of beauty in the space will start diminishing the low effects of clutter, as in the world of energy everything is in constant motion. Be aware how much easier it is to deal with the low energy of your clutter when you are surrounded by higher energy.

Plan to "underachieve" instead of "overachieve." Start small
and time
your efforts. For example, give yourself 15 min for a specific area, and when the time is up, just leave it. You've done great. Now plan for the next session and make it a bit longer (20-25 min.)

By mentally changing your approach and having realistic goals you can actually start living clutter free quite soon. It is important to give yourself time, though. Just like with losing the extra weight with feng shui, you will achieve the best results with a consistent system, complimented by new habits.

A very helpful tool in clearing clutter is using the ancient principle of space clearing. There are many ways to do space clearing, and from my experience, ancient cultures around the world have various forms of clearing the stagnant energy. Explore the topic of space clearing with feng shui, as it can be of great help in your feng shui clutter clearing efforts.

Are there strong feng shui cures to help me get pregnant?

Feng Shui can be very powerful in removing the energy blockages in your environment, in strengthening your own energy and balancing the energy of the bedroom, so in this respect, yes, there are many things you can do to balance and strengthen the flow of energy in your living space.

More specially, there are some traditional feng shui items or decor elements that are defined as cures for pregnancy, such as displaying pomegranate fruits, elephants with their noses down, pictures of babies, etc. One interesting cures is to allow several little children to jump to their heart's desire on a childless couple's bed, thus energizing it and inviting the needed energy.

It might be a good idea for you to find a feng shui consultant in your area and see if you can have a professional inspect to your house, there might be very weak areas that need attention and this can be revealed only during a feng shui analysis.

Two more things :

* Be mindful about not having a heavy light fixture, or a ceiling fan, over your bed. I see this configuration in many bedrooms, often with the blades of the ceiling fan "cutting through" the energy of the abdominal area of both partners. This is certainly a configuration to be avoided.

* Ancient feng shui masters were suggesting not to move the bed of a couple that wants to conceive a baby.

As with everything, there is always a combination of factors that lead to a certain outcome. It is certainly wise to do all that is within your control to improve the energy of your space and attract the 'fertility chi'.

Knowing your Kua number and the personal element can also help tailor some of the cures and make them more effective.
