Feng Shui Tips for Christmas: Have a Happy Christmas with some Feng Shui Help

Merry Christmas !
Christmas season is undoubtedly one of the most stressful times of the year. Feng Shui being a powerful tool in creating a calm and harmonious space, let's look at some basic feng shui tips to help ease your stress and really enjoy this beautiful season!

See if these simple feng shui tips for Christmas season will help minimize stress levels and promote a balanced flow of energy in your home:
  1. If you have several options, consider placing your Christmas tree in either one of these feng shui areas : South, East, Southeast or Center. The placement of Christmas tree in one of these feng shui areas will bring a beneficial balance of the five feng shui elements.

  2. Burning candles or sitting by the fireplace (the real one!) purifies all your energy centers. The closer you are to the fire, the higher the benefits to your personal energy field. Consider creating groupings of colorful candles and using them in the evening. Avoid burning many candles in the East feng shui area which is connected to your health and well-being.

  3. Be mindful about balancing the strong feng shui Fire element of the Christmas season with a cooler color scheme, such as soothing light blue (feng shui water element color), cool silver or gray and calm white (feng shui metal element colors). The green of the Christmas tree, even though is visually balancing, actually feeds the Fire/makes the feng shui Fire element stronger.

  4. Use essential oils in a candle diffuser or an electric one to keep the air fresh and the energy levels balanced. Choose pine, eucalyptus, ylang-ylang, neroli, or other essential oils of your choice to introduce the feng shui energy of warmth, purification and nourishment into your environment.

Most of all, go with your gut feeling and create a home for Christmas that will truly make you feel happy. Do not repeat the same designs year after year. Be creative and open to change - it's good feng shui!

I wish you and your loved ones a beautiful and truly joyful Christmas season.

Prosperity Area of Your Space

In feng shui, the area connected to you financial prosperity and abundance is the Southeast of your Space (be it home or office). The element of the Southeast is Wood, so be mindful about not placing Metal or Fire objects or colors in this area, as Metal cuts the Wood and Fire melts it.

To encourage the energy flow in this area:
  • Focus on strengthening the Wood element. Lush greenery, a source of water, actual or an image; colors Blue, Green and Brown are all excellent feng shui solutions.

  • Bring images that speak to you of abundance. If you decide to go for traditional Chinese feng shui cures, be sure that you really do like them, you have to have this energy exchange for them to work. Otherwise, choose your own. Examples of Chinese cures are: Chinese coins, red tassels, three legged toad, images of ships in a harbour, koi fish, etc.

  • Be sure not to have any clutter in this area, not even a trash can.

  • Check often to see how this area looks and feels. Does the energy easily escape thru many windows or a back door in this area? Or, maybe it is partially missing?
Work with remedies like light, colors, crystals and mirrors to create a space that carries the energy of abundance and fresh flow.

Improving your love life with Feng Shui

Feng shui practitioners believe that the best way to attract love is to adjust your environment accordingly. Dingy surroundings, piles of clutter, and self-absorbed artwork can actually drive Cupid from your door. Here, then, are 10 simple feng shui love tips for finding your perfect mate ... or for increasing the passion in your long-term relationship or marriage.

Replace Images of Lone Figures With Pictures of Happy Couples:
Artwork has a tremendous impact on the subconscious. When you surround yourself with photos, paintings, sculptures and knickknacks of solitary figures, you'll carry yourself accordingly. Replacing such images with representations of happy couples will make you more receptive to love.

Create Cozy Seating Arrangements:
Single chairs send a loud and clear message to prospective suitors and spouses: Back off! If you're looking for love, create cozy seating arrangements from love seats, sofas and chairs. Putting chairs at comfortable angles to each other will signal that you're ready for a relationship.

Keep the Television Out of the Bedroom:
Nothing kills romance like the drone of late night television. If you have trouble falling asleep, try unwinding by reading love poetry or romantic novels. Your subconscious will shift accordingly, making you a virtual love magnet.

Treat Yourself to Sensual Bedding:
That old ratty pillow from college and those serviceable sheets aren't doing your sex life any favors. Go ahead and splurge on pillows, blankets and sheets that invite you to linger in bed.

Downsize From a King to a Queen
Sleeping on a huge mattress won't cultivate intimacy. Invest in a comfortable queen-sized bed if you'd like to find the love of your life. If you simply can't make the switch, make sure to sleep on patterned sheets to add some zest to your sex life.

Prepare for Company:
If you are single, clear out one of your dresser drawers, leave some empty hangers in the closet, and keep an extra toothbrush in the bathroom. When you demonstrate you are willing to share your space with someone special, your romantic prospects will soar.

Pull Your Bed Away From the Wall:
Pushing your bed against the wall effectively crowds out any chance for lovers to enter your life. Arrange your bed so that it has enough space to walk on either side. Before you know it, you'll be cuddling close with someone special, instead of hugging your pillow for comfort.

Make Your 'Relationship Gua' a Shrine to Love:
Using the front door of your home as a reference point, the far right corner of your home represents relationships and is known as the "Relationship Gua" in Feng Shui. Therefore, you need to keep this area intimate and inviting. A love seat illuminated with adjustable lighting is ideal for this special spot.

Keep the Family at Bay:
Your bedroom represents your romantic life. Therefore, the last images you want to see here are photos of dear old Mom and Dad. Children's artwork and toys will also undermine your sex life. Celebrate these relationships in other areas of your household, but keep your boudoir a private retreat.

Think Pink!
Warm colors like pink and red can enliven your love life considerably. Soft shades like rose, salmon and coral can attract a gentle partner who is attentive to your needs, while bold colors like scarlet, crimson and burgundy will draw a passionate adventurer to your side.

Feng Shui Tips for Business

There are some feng shui tips to improve your business and finance, below are some of them :

1. Always sit with a solid wall behind your back to ensure that you
have support in your life,
never sit with a window behind you.

2. In the office always place the fax machine, telephone and
computers in the wealth area for
more business.

3. Arrange the tables and chairs in a harmonious position so that
the chi is able to flow smoothly
through in the room.

4. If you own a shop, try and place the till in your wealth corner,
even your petty cash tin. Order
books can also be placed here with
Chinese coins tied together with red ribbon.

5. You should not have any cactus or sharp looking plants in your
office as these plants have
small sharp leaves and therefore causes
'shar chi' in the office. The chi that rides on the wind
will have to
pass through them causing chi to be fierce and sharp.

6. If your staff always fall sick in that area, then use a metal wind
chime made of 6 or 7 metal
rods about 1 ft long are the best as the
sound of metal is the best feng shui cure. Others like
metal sculpture
or metal object would not be that effective although they are also
metal in
nature. Place a hanging crystal sphere to activate chi or
disperse negative chi.

7. In your office, never have the main door opening into your table
as the chi coming in will hit at
your face causing you not to have
good luck but instead more obstacles and problems.

8. In a managers office you should try not to choose a room with
two doors, because the chil will
go into that room and out the other
door.

9. The chi from the main entrance of your office should not meet
a wall inside the office. This is
because the chi once it hits the wall
has to turn and therefore causing it to slow down hence
your
businesses will be slow and not vibrant. Try using a hanging crystal
in your office
entrance this will enhance chi.

10.Do not place the photocopy machine near to the main door.
The heat near the main door is
frequently not preferred and causes
the chi to be hot and dispersed easily as more people are
likely to
walk in and out thus carrying chi in and out too fast because the chi
is not allowed to
stay for some time.

11.Do not place a paper cutter machine next to the main door. Cutter
machine is to cut papers.
Therefore if it located here will cause staff
to back stab each other and fight too if one is not
careful.

12.Do not place an empty vase next to the main door, as the new chi
once it enters to your office will be sucked into the vase causing nothing
much left for the environtment.

13.For corporate clients a fish tank placed in the wealth area is the best
for great results and success. However there are strick criteria's for the
fish tank that one has to follow.

14.The company signboard should be in the wealth area so that no other
competitors can be strong enough to beat you at your game.

15.Place an indoor fountain in your wealth corner, to activate chi.
These also have medical
benefits.

16.Do not have clutter in your office, desks must be kept tidy and
clutter free. This is so
important, an office in China would not have
these paper trays on desks, and most Americans
companies now
employ the same approach.

17.Three Legged Toad God. This figure is used for attracting wealth
and abundance. Place this
wonderful creature near your front office
entrance, facing into your office for luck and wealth,
or place it in
the wealth sector of your office to magnify your wealth luck.
Always leave the
coin in its mouth.

18.Crystal ball, apart from looking into future you can place on top
of phone to encourage more
business calls. Also to attract wealth
and good luck, a great all round cure that every office
should have
one.

19.Fu Dogs Male & Female, these protective animals are placed near
your doorway of your office
to protect from evil influences. They are
a symbol of valor and prosperity.

20.Ba Gua Mirrors, if you have any negative energy directed at
your front office door, these Ba
Gua Mirrors will disperse the
negative energy.

Feng Shui Tips to Attracting Wealth to Your Home

The 'wind and the water' or Feng Shui has been a large part of many traditional and modern Chinese folks for thousands of years and have followed them into the 21st century of modernity and the information age. I can totally understand this attitude, I mean everyone needs all the luck they can get and the great thing about Feng Shui is that it is very affordable and the effects can be life changing.

Every one of us has a foible or some sort of quirky tradition we do to increase our luck. It can be a favourite locker at the gym or a favourite shoe we wear on a specific day. Sounds strange? Sure, but people swear by them.

Millions of people swear by Feng Shui and if you are at all interested in bringing a tidal wave of luck and prosperity to your life, here are some fengshui tips to attracting wealth to your home.

Colours Of Your House

One of the best ways is to have a look at the colours of your house. White is a bad colour for most Chinese especially in Feng Shui because is represents death. Colour is important in bringing prosperity to your home because it creates a vibrant relationship with nature.

Try to add some red into important areas of the house, like your work area, or even the bedroom. Shades of red and even pink will do as they are colours of luck in oriental tradition. Luck translates directly into wealth and prosperity.

Gold is also considered to be one of the best colours to use. Try to accessorise your place with some gold, a Chinese speciality shop is one of the best places to look, or if one isn't available, Western substitutes will sometimes do just as well.

Arrangement Of Your House

Feng shui and Chi - or good energy needs more space and less clutter for energy to be attracted to your home and flow evenly within. This is where some rearrangement needs to take place and if a place looks messy and gives you an uncomfortable feeling, it is more than just likely that it has some really bad feng shui and is chasing your wealth 'Chi' away faster than a bad smell in a small room. Breathing spaces are important especially in places in your house where you store money or do work.

Also, exits should never be in clear views within the house - especially when you first walk in to your house. Money and prosperity riding on waves of good energy will walk in to your place and leave just as quickly through exits. Don't make them the highlight of your décor, and some Chinese households even use a screen to cover them up.

Have a look into feng shui crystals, because they are believed to be powerful tools that resonate with frequencies that bring wealth, health and prosperity to the household. Do a bit of research because each crystal has a specific purpose.

These are just some fengshui tips to transform your place from a vacuum of profit to a living breathing magnet for wealth and opportunity. The process is most of the time simple and if you can invest a bit more, have a Feng Shui Master to come and have a peek and your place - maybe make some recommendations. You won't regret it.

Feng Shui Tips For Your Home

There are some importants things that you should know in designing your house, it's simple but may affect your health & life.

1. There should be no shoes or slippers lying around outside your house main door. Better put them at other place if you can. Let the main door space to be free and clear so the good chi (energy) may flow into your house. The chi rides with the wind, if you put the slippers or shoes outside your main door, it will collect all the smell of those things into your house that may cause sickness.

2. There should be no television sets in your bedrooms. If you can't get rid of that habit then after watching the television, cover it with a plastic table cloth. Remember it has to be plastic and not simply cloth.

3. There should be no mirrors opposite your bed or at the side of your bed. Mirrors opposite the bed can attract a third party into your relationship. Therefore, do not place mirrors anywhere you like especially in your bedroom. If there is no choice, better cover the mirrors with papers after using it.

4. Place an indoor water fountain in your home, position in a favourable area to attract whatever you want to improve in your life.

5. If you like to place a fish tank in your house, you should be careful. A fish tank placed correctly can bring about greater fortune, as you will tap on the "Divine Water Dragon's Den". But if you tap wrongly, it can cause you to have lawsuits, bankruptcy, work pressure, troubles and problems. If you noticed any of these after placing the fish tank for approximately four months, shift your fish tank to another location.

6. In your kitchen, ensure that opposite your stove there is no refrigerator, washing machine, washbasin and toilet. The fire and water crash causing familly members to have disagreements.

7. Try not to allow children to sleep on mattresses on the floor. It may causes young children to fall sick frequently. Because chi is not able to flow underneath the bed. Ideally chi should circulate around the mattress where our children sleep to allow them to be healthy.

8. For young children, try to have their back to the wall when they write. It is important there should be a solid wall behind a children's writing table. This allows the child to have support so that he can sit there and study longer rather than for only half an hour and then they tend to move about because there is no solid wall behind their back. Adjust your writing table.

9. Do not allow children to sleep on double bunk beds even if it means saving space. The child sleeping underneath will not have "fresh chi" and so his health might be weak. But if due to space constraint, then monitor your child's health if not add in a metal 6 rods wind chime or a crystal sphere, to break up the "stale chi" around his bed.

10. Your bed should always have a solid wall behind you. This is important if you wish to have a good rest. A solid wall simply means that you can go into deeper sleep and therefore enabling you to have good rest so that when you wake up in the morning, you will feel fresh and well rested. This also allows you to be able to concentrate on your work better.

11. There should be no beam on top of your bed. The beam above causes chi to be pressured thus enabling you to have pressures in life. Therefore, don't place furniture underneath it or alternatively level the beam. But make sure if you choose the latter, it is important that you have enough height for that space.

12. If you have a lot of work pressure, maybe it's the marble table that you have in your dining room that causes you to have those problems. Remove that marble table and change to a wooden one or alternatively live with that work pressure!

13. If your child usually falls sick in that bedroom, change them to another bedroom or simply hang a six rod metal wind chime as the metal element will break all the earth energies in that room. After hanging, if the wind could not do the job for you then you will have to "chime" it yourself and then watch for the good results.

14. Do not use a red sofa set. The colour red represent the element of fire. In Feng Shui, some place simply can not have the colour red in that sector. For example: the wealth area or some other sectors. A red sofa sets gives rise to heavy work pressure, troubles and obstacles.

15. Always open your bedroom windows at least once 20 minutes a day to allow fresh chi to come in, we do this so that it allows fresh new chi from outside to come into your bedroom, if not you will be sleeping with stale chi every night. If it happens, then how can you expect your life to bring in more good fortune to come to you? So open that window or door and never mind if dusts comes in. The great good fortune that you can have will far exceeds the time you take to clean off the dust.

The Feng Shui is about balancing energies, of animate with inanimate and that of the soul with that of the universe, so that you get the positive energies of the universe flowing through the entire space in your house.

Feng Shui has a variety of tips to design a healthy and happy feng shui home, all based on the fact that if you live in a healthy and happy feng shui home, your energy will inevitably become healthy and happy.

Have you noticed how happy people change the energy of the room when they come in? And how you become happier and more optimistic when you hang out with your happy friends? This is happening because you are in a constant energy exchange with everything that surrounds you like people, animals, buildings, tress, etc.

The more you know about the feng shui things, the more you can achieve in terms of establishing a healthy relationship with your home. This new relationship will beneficially reflect in all areas of your life: your love life, your career, the relationship with your children, etc.

Feng Shui is all about connections and energy flow between objects and people, so proceed gradually, in stages, testing out how each small change influence the Chi of the space. Before practicing Feng Shui in your home try to understand its principles, its essence and most importantly its spiritual nature. Then you can imagine and bring about the specific changes in the objects, environment and quality of life that you desire.

Each area of your life (health, reputation, family, travel, marriage, etc) is strongly associated with various parts of your home.

What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is an ancient art and science developed over 3,000 years ago in China. It is a complex body of knowledge that reveals how to balance the energies of any given space to assure the health and good fortune for people inhabiting it. While many modern enthusiasts claim that feng shui is the practice of arranging objects (such as furniture) to help people achieve their goals. More traditionally, feng shui is important in choosing a place to live and finding a burial site, along with agricultural planning.

The words 'feng shui' literally translate as "wind-water"in English."Feng" means "wind" and "shui" means "water" (pronounced fung-shway). In Chinese culture gentle wind and clear water have always been associated with good harvest and good health, thus "good fengshui" came to mean good livelihood and fortune, while "bad fengshui" came to mean hardship and misfortune.

Feng Shui is based on the Taoist vision and understanding of nature, particularly on the idea that the land is alive and filled with Chi or energy. The ancient Chinese believed that the land's energy could either make or break the kingdom, so to speak. The theories of yin and yang, as well as the five fengshui elements, are some of the basic aspects of a feng shui analysis that come from Taoism.
